About the role
The Human Resources Technician VI, SR-15 position is a step up from Step C to Step L, with a starting salary range of $4,221 to $6,003 per month effective July 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and participates in the performance of substantive human resources clerical work which may include, but not limited to, the areas of recruitment, classification, training and/or employee relations.
- Includes a significant proportion of those of a novel and/or unusually complicated nature and/or limited technical assistance work.
- Independently performs the full range of technical human resources work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Generalized Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible general office clerical experience.
- Specialized Experience: Four (4) years of experience in an office where the work required the knowledge and application of pertinent human resources rules, regulations, procedures and program requirements.
- Supervisory Experience: For certain positions, applicants must show that they possess supervisory aptitude.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a clerical curriculum at an accredited business or technical school may be substituted for the General Experience on a month-for-month basis up to a maximum of one (1) year.
- Successful completion of an academic year in an accredited college or university above the high school level may be substituted for one (1) year of the General Experience.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of General Experience and two (2) years of Specialized Experience.
