About the role

The Michigan Civil Service Commission, Office of Human Resources, serving the Michigan State Police (MSP) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Human Resources Technician to work in a professional and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process a broad range of routine personnel and payroll transactions.
• Perform necessary calculations and enter transactions in HRMN.
• Review and approve employee timesheets in Statewide Integrated Governmental Management Applications (SIGMA).
• Process adjustments/modifications in HRMN and SIGMA to ensure timesheets conform to applicable laws, Civil Service rules and regulations, and bargaining unit contract provisions.

Requirements

This position generally requires the education acquired through completion of high school. Specific education and experience requirements for different class levels are detailed in the job specifications of the Human Resources Technician class.
