About the role

Serve as an employee relations specialist performing duties to administer the employee-management relations program for the Civilian Personnel Flight (CPF). Provide a full range of advice, counsel, advisory and personnel-management services, and management/supervisor orientation regarding civilian management responsibilities. Monitor one or more major programs routinely assigned to the immediate office and within the Force Support Squadron (FSS) mission and functional responsibility.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • May be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
  • Personal data to which the incumbent has access is controlled by the Privacy Act of 1974 and must be safeguarded appropriately
  • May be required to work extended or other-than-normal duty hours

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of a wide range of employee-management relations concepts, case law, principles, practices, and legal and regulatory requirements sufficient to perform detailed analyses, draw conclusions on difficult issues, and advise managers on a wide range of matters
  • Knowledge of Federal Human Resource Management (HMR) functions, theories, and techniques, as well as the relationship among HMR disciplines, sufficient to advise management and employees regarding rules, regulations, procedures, obligations, and entitlements
  • Knowledge of legal research methods, information-gathering techniques, and analytical capabilities sufficient to locate, interpret, and analyze applicability, appropriateness, precedent, substantive decisions, and legal opinions reached by courts and administrative bodies
  • Knowledge and skill in conflict-resolution techniques sufficient to interact in highly charged or emotional situations that may arise from delicate or highly contested case matters and determinations

Pay

2026 Salary Range: $89,508–$138,370 yearly
