Human Resources Specialist, Benefits

We're looking for an experienced HR Specialist – Benefits & Total Rewards who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and ensuring our team members understand and maximize the benefits available to them. Responsibilities

• Administering health, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, and other employee benefit programs
• Coordinating annual Open Enrollment and educating employees on benefit options
• Serving as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution
• Supporting administration of our 401(k), ESOP, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and ACA compliance programs
• Ensuring benefit deductions, reporting, and filings are accurate and audit-ready
• Managing employee wellness initiatives and company wellness programs
• Managing Workers' Compensation claims from injury through return-to-work
• Performing HRIS (UKG) audits to ensure employee and benefit data remains accurate
• Assisting with HR compliance, audits, and continuous process improvements
• Supporting HR projects and initiatives that enhance the employee experience

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of HR benefits experience required; experience in hospitality or foodservice strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements
• Experience with UKG Ready or similar HRIS preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on employee engagement and customer service
• Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Comfortable presenting and facilitating group training sessions
• Ability to function effectively in a high-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
