Human Resources Specialist
About the role
The position involves advising managers on Human Resources matters, resolving complex Human Resources issues, interpreting regulatory material, and providing comprehensive management advisory and technical services on Human Resources laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Processing and preparing personnel actions.
- Providing guidance on and administration of benefits programs.
- Advising management on Human Resources topics.
- Performing position analysis.
- Overseeing the performance management process.
- Administering pay and leave programs.
- Identifying training and development needs.
Requirements
Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication, including fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications
- GS-9: Specialized Experience, Education, or a combination of both.
- GS-11: Specialized Experience, Education, or a combination of both.
