Human Resources Specialist
Responsibilities
- Onboarding of new staff including offer letters, background checks, drug screens, I-9 verification
- Aid new hires with badging and site/client specific onboarding requirements
- Manage and track our WSAP policy and random drug screens
- Conduct companywide HR initiatives
- Collect, review, and approve local timesheets
- Process employee changes including promotions, annual salary increases, benefit changes, and terminations
- Administer and audit benefit carrier EDI feeds as needed
- Record and database management
- Assist employees with payroll or benefit issues – act as liaison with payroll staff
- Minimum of an associate’s degree, with a bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-5 years of experience
- Strong technical skills with PC operating systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Data entry, database management, and ability to quickly learn and coach others on internet-based applications
- Positive team player, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and proactive
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Flexible to accommodate local team and national company needs
- Maintain confidentiality
- Eagerness to perform well, take pride in responsibilities
- Experience with Paylocity
- Experience with Deltek/Costpoint
- Experience administering company AAP and EEO reporting
- Experience processing DOE clearances
