Human Resources Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding
  • Cook up and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth employee experience
  • Complete and manage I-9 verification, compliance tracking, and documentation
  • Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and internal communications
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and other systems
  • Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries
  • Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics to support workforce planning and compliance
  • Support payroll processes by validating employee data and coordinating with payroll
  • Create and deliver internal communications including job postings, announcements, and updates
  • Maintain HR SharePoint content and internal communication platforms
  • Cook up and deliver training sessions, engagement initiatives, and HR-related events
  • Assist with performance management processes and documentation tracking
  • Support employee engagement programs, including recognition initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment laws and policies
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions and HR support

Qualifications

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field required (an associate's degree preferred)
  • Office experience required; HR experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Forms
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors highly preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Ability to travel between Winston-Salem and Mocksville locations as needed
  • Light office duties, including extended sitting or standing
  • Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Good manual dexterity for computer-based work

The Details:

  • Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution) among others
  • Hours are 7:30a – 5:30p Monday – Thursday, and 7:30a – 11:30a on Fridays
