About the role

The Recipient Rights Assistant/Human Resources Assistant position is responsible for assisting both the Recipient Rights and Human Resources department with tracking and file upkeep. Essential duties include recruitment processes, maintaining open positions, coordinating onboarding, and attending job fairs.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and onboarding: Posting jobs, sharing new hires, advertising vacancies, scheduling interviews, creating packets, testing, and scanning/recording recruitment files.
  • Staff management: Informing departments of staffing changes, initiating onboarding for new hires, and managing the onboarding process.
  • Job fairs: Attending job fairs and researching job boards for advertising positions.
  • Training and development: Tracking and finding staff for local job fairs, researching job boards, and coordinating the monthly birthday luncheon.
  • HRIS and reporting: Tracking performance evaluations, creating reports from HRIS software, and distributing them as needed.
  • Recipients Rights: Conducting investigations, completing assessments, and teaching trainings.
  • General support: Upkeeping files, handling mailings, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in Human Resources and an associate’s degree in Human Resources Specialization preferred, high school diploma required.
  • Must complete two trainings with Human Resources specialization within the first six months of employment.
  • Must be trained in Recipient Rights, including MDHHS-ORR Training Basic I and II within 90 days of hire.
