About the role

Battle Motors is growing rapidly as we deliver efficient, effective solutions for the heavy-duty work truck industry, including our new EV (Electric Vehicle) technology. This role supports human resources and administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct departmental phone calls.
  • Receive and distribute office mail.
  • Schedule and organize appointments; take minutes during departmental meetings.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Proofread and type documents and correspondence produced by the department.
  • Process required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • Assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Research and compare incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assess competitors’ plans and make recommendations for enhancements or improvements.
  • Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
  • Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
  • Develop, administer, and maintain talent management processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in administrative training and administering compensation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll and compensation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

Safety & Compliance

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, and training, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. The individual will work to prevent injury, accidents, or illnesses by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
