About the role
The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to OpCo leaders and collaborate closely with them to develop and implement HR strategies that support the achievement of business objectives. This position oversees all aspects of human resources management, including employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a combination of strong HR expertise, business acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Work as a business partner with all members of management and understand their objectives to provide solutions that support the operation.
- Serve as a liaison between management and union representatives to maintain effective labor relations.
- Support the administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, union contracts, and company policies.
- Participate in union meetings, grievance procedures, and negotiations as needed.
- Investigate and help resolve employee relations issues in a unionized environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to grievances, disputes, and contract terms.
- Manage union relationships to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage employee relations and facilitate issue resolution, including investigation, documentation, and possible corrective action.
- Serve as an internal consultant to management on HR topics including performance management, talent development, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure the completion of an accurate weekly payroll.
- Partner with senior management and the recruiting team around workforce planning and candidate selection.
- Collaborate with senior management to implement strategic HR initiatives that support the company's growth and objectives.
- Interpret, educate, and inform leaders and associates on company policies and procedures.
- Manage the on-boarding and orientation process for newly hired employees.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and event planning to foster a positive work culture that values diversity, inclusion, and teamwork.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and develop action plans to address them.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and legislation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Management role.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience working in a unionized environment, including knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor relations practices.
- Strong understanding of local and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Expert interpersonal skills and a knack for conflict resolution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong time management and analytical skills, with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Pay
$80k–$95k Base Salary, depending on experience, with bonus opportunity based on KPIs.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, normal business hours, with a requirement to work 100% on-site.
- Occasional early morning or late afternoon hours may be required.
- Subject to change based on business needs but will average 45–50 hours per week.
