About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Specialist to support compensation and benefits operations for a long-term contract opportunity. This role will focus on delivering accurate, compliant, and employee-centered administration across key pay and benefits programs while partnering closely with the HR team to enhance daily processes. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, sound judgment in handling sensitive matters, and the ability to contribute effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day compensation and benefits activities, maintaining accuracy and alignment with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate benefits-related administration, including employee benefit programs, leave processes, and retirement contribution support.
  • Assist with compensation reviews, pay-related updates, and employee inquiries by providing timely and thorough guidance.
  • Monitor adherence to federal, state, and internal requirements affecting compensation and benefits programs.
  • Evaluate current procedures, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend practical improvements to strengthen service delivery.
  • Contribute to HR technology and workflow updates, including support for system-related changes and related process documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to streamline operations and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Maintain organized departmental records and handle sensitive information with discretion and care.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources, with a strong focus on compensation and benefits administration.
  • Practical experience supporting benefit programs, leave administration, and retirement contribution processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance requirements related to compensation, benefits, and employment practices.
  • Ability to investigate issues, resolve problems effectively, and suggest workable process improvements.
  • Experience using HR systems; familiarity with Oracle is preferred, and candidates with strong experience in comparable platforms will be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a courteous, responsive approach to employee support.
  • Proficiency with standard computer and keyboard use, along with the ability to maintain accurate department records.
