We are looking for an HR Administrator to join a team on a long-term contract basis. This opportunity will provide hands-on support across recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding coordination while helping maintain smooth day-to-day HR operations. The position is ideal for a detail-focused individual who is comfortable working in a hybrid environment and using HR systems to deliver an organized onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment activities by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and supporting the hiring process from initial contact through offer preparation.
  • Contribute to interview efforts by meeting with candidates when needed and helping assess alignment with role requirements and team needs.
  • Oversee onboarding setup and workflows within BambooHR and Paylocity to ensure timely and accurate employee records.
  • Prepare and process employment documentation, screening steps, and related administrative materials to support compliant hiring practices.
  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support, including maintaining personnel information, assisting with benefits-related tasks, and responding to routine employee inquiries.
  • Partner with the HR team on special assignments and short-term initiatives that improve organization, reporting, or employee support processes.
  • Help facilitate a smooth coverage period by learning current workflows and supporting transition activities at the start of the assignment.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources administration with a strong focus on recruiting and onboarding activities.
  • Hands-on experience using BambooHR and Paylocity in an HR environment that requires strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to manage administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of background checks, employment documentation, and general HR support processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with candidates and employees.
  • Highly organized approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience in financial services is preferred but not required.
  • Availability to work a permanent hybrid schedule in New York, New York, including onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday.
