We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Administrator to support daily HR operations in Lenexa, Kansas. This is a contract position suited for someone who can manage administrative priorities, maintain accurate employee records, and help coordinate onboarding and internal HR activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and ensure timely distribution of HR-related documents.
  • Provide administrative support for the HR team, including preparing new employee records and maintaining accurate employee information in internal systems.
  • Enter employee data, review personnel files, and conduct regular audits to confirm documentation is complete and current.
  • Coordinate calendars and arrange interviews, meetings, and employee-focused events for the department.
  • Draft and distribute internal announcements and communications to keep staff informed of important updates.
  • Track training completion and follow up on outstanding learning requirements through HR-related projects.
  • Assist with candidate screening documentation, legal forms, and other employment documentation as needed.
  • Support benefits-related administrative tasks and maintain organized records for HR compliance purposes.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in human resources administration or a closely related administrative support role.
  • Working knowledge of employee file maintenance, onboarding coordination, and confidential record handling.
  • Ability to support background checks, legal documentation, and benefits-related processes with accuracy.
  • Experience using Paylocity is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic spreadsheet creation and simple formulas.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and standard office software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
