Responsibilities
- Execute corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
- Support the human factor in the company by implementing strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
- Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and procedures.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
- Manage the recruitment needs of the organization and calendar appointments according to operational requirements.
- Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, employment verifications and disciplinary notices.
- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.
- Support Management to Administer appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and address employee grievances.
- Administer the benefits plan companywide for new associates and manage new enrollment monthly.
- Record workers compensation claims as well as support associates through the necessary steps to recovery.
- Record and manage grievances/violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks.
- Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
- Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees’ job satisfaction.
- Administer procedures and practices for hiring new employees and help manage the performance/moral of our staff.
- Administer orientation procedures for onboarding new hires and train them to meet the needs of the company.
- Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits and other facets of their employment.
- Respond to questions or complaints from employees in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- SHRM certification required.
- Five or more years of HR experience required.
- Two professional references required.
- Current or previous experience in an HR Generalist role in a large (300+ employee) warehousing company is highly preferred.
- Bi-lingual candidate preferred (Spanish, English).
