Responsibilities

  • Execute corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
  • Support the human factor in the company by implementing strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
  • Manage the recruitment needs of the organization and calendar appointments according to operational requirements.
  • Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, employment verifications and disciplinary notices.
  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.
  • Support Management to Administer appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and address employee grievances.
  • Administer the benefits plan companywide for new associates and manage new enrollment monthly.
  • Record workers compensation claims as well as support associates through the necessary steps to recovery.
  • Record and manage grievances/violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks.
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
  • Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees’ job satisfaction.
  • Administer procedures and practices for hiring new employees and help manage the performance/moral of our staff.
  • Administer orientation procedures for onboarding new hires and train them to meet the needs of the company.
  • Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits and other facets of their employment.
  • Respond to questions or complaints from employees in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • SHRM certification required.
  • Five or more years of HR experience required.
  • Two professional references required.
  • Current or previous experience in an HR Generalist role in a large (300+ employee) warehousing company is highly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual candidate preferred (Spanish, English).
