Human Resources Generalist

Fort Myers Broadcasting Company is looking for a versatile HR Generalist to support our growing team. This position will handle day-to-day HR operations, serve as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers, support the HR Team, and help align people practices with company goals. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities Benefits: Administer employee benefits, assist with open enrollment, maintain vendor relationships, and educate employees on benefit programs and questionsRecruiting Events: Coordinate and participate in job fairs and other recruiting events while representing the Company professionallyRecruitment & Onboarding: Assist the HR team with job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, new hire processes, and onboarding tasks. Travel: Coordinate and book Company travel arrangementsHR Records & Compliance: Maintain confidential employee records and HRIS information and support compliance with applicable employment laws and Company policiesEmployee Programs: Assist with training, employee engagement, recognition programs, and other HR initiativesHR Support: Provide day-to-day support to employees, managers, and the HR Team as needed Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Other fields of study may be considered based on relevant experience and qualifications3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required, with experience in benefits, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and other general HR functionsEquivalent relevant professional HR experience may be considered in lieu of the degree based on the candidate’s overall qualifications and demonstrated experience. Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExperience with HRIS/HRMS and ATS systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements The physical requirements described below represent the physical demands necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
