Human Resources Generalist
About the role
The Human Resources Generalist is a member of the Human Resources team, reporting to the HR Manager. The primary responsibilities of the person are to provide general recruiting/administrative support for home office and voyage hiring processes. In addition, the Generalist will provide administrative support for the HR department.
Responsibilities
- Manages searches for home office and voyage positions (application review, scheduling interviews, collaboration with hiring managers, reference checks; etc.)
- Conducts orientation and managing onboarding processes for home office employees
- Primary Liaison for voyage Parent Caregiver Co-Op Liaison (hiring, training, inventory of program’s supplies/materials)
- Maintains and facilitates updates for all home office and voyage job descriptions
- Provides general administrative support (answering phone calls, greeting visitors)
- Maintains and updates personnel files
- Maintains and performs monthly audits for I-9 records
- Maintains and performs monthly audits for I-9 records
- Monitor external-facing human resources email accounts
- Administers employee recognition/engagement: service awards, work anniversary announcements, birthdays, etc.
- Celebrates employee milestones
- Coordinates events (e.g. staff meetings, employee social events, orientations, and training sessions)
- Provides general administrative support (answering phone calls, checking voicemail, greeting visitors, shipping, printing, etc.)
- Affords assistance to members of the Human Resources team with administrative tasks (expense reports, CSU IDs, receipt collection for special events, audits, etc.)
- Supports facilities/operations needs of building/office suite
- Serves as hotel liaison for ISE staff and guests; assists with travel reservations and arrangements
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years professional work experience
- Effective and flexible professional communicator; experienced in communicating with internal and external customers at all levels
- Outstanding teamwork/collaboration skills
- Ability to problem solve using critical thinking skills and independent judgment
- Exemplary organizational skills (prioritization, documentation, and workflow management)
- Skillful attention to detail

- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace
- Ability and temperament to work with sensitive and confidential information
- Proficient with technology and eagerness to learn new software systems

Pay
Starting rate of pay for a new employee in this role is between $26.50 to $28.48.
Schedule
This is a full-time position: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. MTOccasional evening/weekend/holiday work may be required as job duties demand.
