Human Resources Generalist Pritchard Companies | Clear Lake, IA or Minneapolis, MN (Onsite) Make an Impact Through People, Processes, and Service Pritchard Companies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our growing organization. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of Human Resources, including payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee support, HRIS management, and compliance. Be part of a 100+ year legacy People-first culture Work with purpose and make a meaningful impact Collaborative and supportive HR team What You'll DoPayroll Administration Process and audit payroll through ADP Workforce Now Review time and attendance records and resolve discrepancies Coordinate payroll changes related to hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly Support payroll audits, reporting, quarter-end, and year-end activities Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws and payroll regulations Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and employee communications Reconcile benefit invoices and maintain accurate records Partner with benefit providers, brokers, and vendors Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions Post jobs through multiple recruiting channels Screen applicants and coordinate interviews Conduct reference checks and assist with offer preparation Coordinate pre-employment screenings and onboarding activities Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs HRIS Administration Maintain accurate employee records within ADP Workforce Now Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity Generate HR, payroll, and workforce reports Assist with HRIS enhancements, testing, and process improvements Troubleshoot HRIS issues and provide employee and manager support Human Resources Support Maintain personnel files and HR documentation Support leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs Assist with employee relations issues and policy interpretation Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience Experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting, and HRIS administration Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred Knowledge of payroll regulations, employment laws, and HR best practices Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or related HR certification Experience supporting multi-state payroll and benefits administration Experience in a manufacturing, dealership, transportation, or multi-location environment Advanced ADP Workforce Now experience Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Work Environment This is an onsite position based in either: Clear Lake, Iowa Minneapolis, Minnesota The role operates primarily in an office environment and requires regular use of HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office applications. Occasional flexibility may be required to meet payroll and business deadlines.
