Human Resources Generalist
About the role
The People team works closely with the business and strategically partners with our people to help everyone perform at their best. We believe effective People teams don't create processes simply for the sake of having them; they build scalable systems, guide leaders through complexity, and foster an environment where high-performing teams can succeed. We're looking for a People Generalist to join our team and support the company's day-to-day operations, which are essential to keeping our team running effectively. This is a hands-on role for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and passionate about creating a positive employee experience. One day you may be supporting a new hire's onboarding or responding to a benefits question; the next you may be updating HRIS records or helping coordinate a company-wide People initiative. You'll be a trusted resource for employees and managers on everyday People-related questions, ensuring our core HR processes are accurate and completed on time while gaining experience across the broader People function. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to develop a strong foundation across HR, while using technology and AI to streamline and enhance processes and improve the day-to-day experience for managers and employees.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and everyday questions.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire documentation, orientation, and exit processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and information in our HRIS, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, leave of absence requests, and other People operations processes.
- Support performance management cycles and talent reviews by coordinating schedules, materials, and communications.
- Assist with documenting and appropriately routing employee relations concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with Recruiting and People Operations to provide a seamless employee experience.
- Help coordinate People programs and initiatives, including engagement, learning and development, and recognition programs (such as Mento and LinkedIn Learning).
- Prepare reports and assist with analyzing People metrics to support team decision-making.
- Help organize and coordinate company events, on- and off-sites, and other People team activities.
- Maintain and review People records and required compliance documentation.
- Assist other members of the People team with daily administrative and coordination needs.
- Support internal communications related to People programs, policy changes, and key initiatives to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Act as a liaison for hiring managers as they begin recruitment efforts, helping ensure alignment with employer branding and process best practices.
- Consistently identify opportunities to enhance People Team processes, infrastructure, and policies, and assist with implementing solutions using technology and AI.
- Work closely with managers and employees to strengthen workplace relationships, improve morale, and support productivity and retention.
- Step in wherever support is needed. We're a small, dedicated, collaborative team that values ownership and impact more than titles.
