Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices and promote company Core Values
- Promote HR policies and foster a people-centric culture
- Manage employee onboarding and transfers
- Conduct benefits meetings and support open enrollment
- Support site leadership in performance management and engagement plans
- Administer leave requests and ensure compliance with labor laws
- Facilitate HR updates and initiatives in site leadership meetings
- Resolve issues and organize team-building activities
- Upload employee information to HRIS and maintain accurate records
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing priorities
- Communicate effectively with managers and employees
- Operate various equipment as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 7 years of progressive HR experience (or equivalent experience)
- PHR (Professional Human Resources) certification or equivalent
- Experience administering HR policies in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaborative skills
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
- Practical understanding of HR policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Tactful, professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively
- Strong attention to detail with organizational, record-keeping, time management, and follow-up skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proactive and ethical work ethic
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
- Ability to travel as required
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and move heavier objects
- Ability to operate various equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs
- Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
