Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work practices and promote company Core Values
  • Promote HR policies and foster a people-centric culture
  • Manage employee onboarding and transfers
  • Conduct benefits meetings and support open enrollment
  • Support site leadership in performance management and engagement plans
  • Administer leave requests and ensure compliance with labor laws
  • Facilitate HR updates and initiatives in site leadership meetings
  • Resolve issues and organize team-building activities
  • Upload employee information to HRIS and maintain accurate records
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing priorities
  • Communicate effectively with managers and employees
  • Operate various equipment as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7 years of progressive HR experience (or equivalent experience)
  • PHR (Professional Human Resources) certification or equivalent
  • Experience administering HR policies in industrial or manufacturing settings
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaborative skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Practical understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Tactful, professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational, record-keeping, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive and ethical work ethic
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel as required
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and move heavier objects
  • Ability to operate various equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs
  • Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
