Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; immigration; productivity; event planning and execution; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources (or advanced certificates in Human Resource management) preferred; (Combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability).
  • 3+ years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
  • Current experience with broad, up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and practices; training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, and safety preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills appropriate for all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent level of accuracy and detail-orientation; well organized.
  • Ability to influence and educate management on policies and best practices.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; advanced knowledge of Excel a plus.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload to meet key deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills are required to gather and interpret data.
