Responsibilities

  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, performance evaluations, and classifications.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees.
  • Coordinate all new employee on-boarding activities.
  • Assist with preparation for employee trainings (new employee orientation, annual training, and management training).
  • Record data for each employee, including absences, supervisory reports on performance, disciplines, and reasons for terminations.
  • Research, compile, and analyze data for special personnel projects and reports.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support; compose and type letters, memoranda, and other correspondence related to assigned HR programs and activities; prepare a variety of reports.
  • Provide customer service, both in-person and by telephone; screen and direct calls, take and relay messages, answer questions from employees and the public regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain personnel records for employees, temps, and temporary staff.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Assist in 3rd party audit preparation.
  • Coordinate employee appreciation luncheons and outings.
  • Maintain the log and issue lockers and request uniforms.
  • Maintain/update training records with managers and supervisors.
  • Handle all filing for the HR office.
  • Maintain the company phone list.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Ensure managers receive notifications for 90-day, quarterly, and annual evaluations.
  • Complete offer letters and compensation analysis sheets.
  • Manage the E-Verify process for new hires.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Relationship

Though reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will work independently and collaboratively with others. Daily interaction with employees at every level across the entire organization is expected.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter and proactive hard worker.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems; UKG is a plus.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred.
