Who We Are The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products. The Gill Corporation is seeking an HR Generalist for a temporary assignment expected to last up to six months, based on business needs. The HR Generalist serves as the administrator for several HR core functions such as employee/labor relations, workers compensation, leaves, attendance tracking, employee records, interviewing and recruiting. Provides administrative support to the human resource department as needed. Including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies. Reporting to the HR Manager, they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities. Responsibilities Performs customer service functions for the department-answers telephones, greets visitors, assists employees and management with questions and/or concerns.Performs routine filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance. Processes employee referral incentivesFacilitate/Coordinate Harassment Training (Initial and Renewal)Responsible for updates of labor law posters, corporate memos and distribution of Company Newsletter.Orders office supplies and flowers for employees (Bereavement, Feel Well, New Arrival etc)Processes subpoena requests communicating with legal contracts managerMaintain ID badge system access and issuing/tracking temporary badges.Processes invoices (Concentra clinic, Shoeteria, Lens crafters safety glasses)Participates in coordinating corporate events, and other employee related activities.Facilitate exit interview process for resignations- preparing paperwork, conducting exit interview, processing exit checklist.Coordinates uniform requests for new hires, once they meet their 30-days of employmentProcess EDD Unemployment/Disability forms.Facilitate and work with third party on annual 401k audit Coordinate yearly Flu Shot events and coordinate 401k Educational meetings (bi-annual)Coordinate annual Quality Vision examManage Employee T-Shirt purchase program, send list to payroll deductions and save to employee files.Maintains accuracy of OSHA Log InjuriesEnsures Workers Compensation Administration including reporting recordable injuries to WC carrier and all follow up appointments and needs for work accommodation for any injuries is done accurately and timely. Facilitates WC process for injured employee acting as liaison between WC carrier and employee.Facilitate personal ADA AccommodationsAssist with New Hire benefit administration process and Open EnrollmentAssists and supports with onboarding tasks such as new hire orientation, Paycom, SAP data entry, I-9 form verifications and emailing new hire announcement to all employees Sends new hire 401(k) designations to SchwabAssists with Paycom related questions, form acknowledgements, reset passwordsIssues lockers, completes tool issuance forms, and add to excel spreadsheet.Assists with ADA/FMLA/CFRA processAssists with and/or prepares correspondence as requested.Other duties and projects as assigned.
