About the role

A growing Southern California organization is seeking a strategic and people-focused Human Resources Director to lead all HR operations and partner closely with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on all human capital matters.
  • Lead employee relations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution initiatives.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Direct talent acquisition efforts, workforce planning, and succession planning strategies.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, retention, engagement, and recognition programs.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop leadership training and professional development programs.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations that support organizational goals.
  • Guide organizational change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor HR team members while promoting a service-oriented HR function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated success managing employee relations and organizational development initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership on strategic business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
