About the role
The Director of Human Resources – Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) is a key HR leadership role responsible for driving the people strategy across nVent’s Electrical Connections Business Segment. Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources, this role serves as a strategic business partner to ISC leadership, ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor and business partner to ISC leadership providing guidance on employee engagement strategies that align with business objectives.
- Partner with leaders on the delivery and execution of core HR processes (e.g., recruitment, succession planning, performance management, talent reviews).
- Leverage HR analytics and metrics to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead change management efforts in support of organizational transformation and growth.
- Lead and develop a geographically dispersed team of HR Managers and Business Partners across union and non-union environments.
- Drive the development and implementation of standardized, scalable processes that empower operational excellence across the organization.
- Foster a collaborative HR community to share best practices and promote professional development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international labor laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant exposure to manufacturing and global supply chain settings.
- Demonstrated success in supporting senior business leaders and influencing change in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong knowledge of global labor laws, compliance practices, and cross-cultural HR management.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication, coaching, influencing, and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to think strategically while also addressing tactical and operational issues.
- Proven track record of building strong, effective teams.
- Ability to travel 20%.
