About the Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for Eurest, the Human Resources Director serves as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to Division Presidents, Vice Presidents, and senior operational leaders across multiple business segments. This role develops and executes comprehensive people strategies aligned with organizational objectives, driving operational excellence and business growth. Responsibilities span talent management, organizational design, succession planning, employee relations, leadership development, workforce planning, change management, compliance, and risk mitigation.
The Human Resources Director partners closely with executive leadership to build high-performing teams, enhance employee engagement, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous development. They ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, programs, and employment practices while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. This role influences senior leaders through complex organizational challenges and delivers innovative solutions supporting both talent and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago area; however, highly qualified candidates located throughout the Midwest region will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Supports and engages associates on Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
- Participates in senior-level interviews for Regional and Operational leadership.
- Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plans.
- Assesses and intervenes in ADA/FMLA/WC cases.
- Conducts climate surveys and exit interviews, and reviews Associate and Customer Satisfaction surveys to analyze and monitor associate morale and job satisfaction.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to drive labor efficiency.
- Facilitates and creates training material for leadership development based on business needs.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of all key HR specialist areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Hospitality Management/Integration, Statistics, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of all key HR specialist areas.
- 10 years' experience in a multi-site, multi-state environment.
- Associate relations experience (required).
- Previous operations experience (a plus).
- Union experience (highly desirable).
- Must be able to travel up to 30%.

Pay
$140,000 - $160,000 annual salary with 15% annual bonus potential.
