About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as a point of contact to assist employees throughout the employment life cycle on benefits, payroll, and AEG policies matters. The incumbent will coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, rehires, and temporary employees. The Human Resources Coordinator will also aide in the management of employee relations issues and provide council when necessary. In addition, the HR Coordinator works independently and proactively to assist the HR team with handling more challenging and less routine issues/projects.
Responsibilities
- Process and document employee data changes including promotions, pay adjustments, data updates, and terminations; coordinate approvals and execution across HR systems and stakeholders.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Corporate HR inbox; triage requests and provide support related to payroll, benefits, PTO, policies, HR systems, and learning tools.
- Coordinate and administer onboarding processes, including new hire orientation, employee communications, benefits enrollment support, and ensuring system readiness (HRIS, LMS, access, equipment, badging).
- Manage and process new hires through the applicant tracking system and HRIS, ensuring documentation is complete, validated, and properly recorded.
- Coordinate corporate onboarding-related learning activities and training programs, including scheduling, logistics, pre- and post-work, and tracking participation and completion.
- Curate, publish, and maintain learning content within the LMS, including playlists, curriculums, data integrity and learning materials aligned to job roles, skills, and organizational priorities; monitor content updates and refresh cycles.
- Track and support reporting needs across HR and Talent Development, including generating reports, monitoring dashboards, and identifying trends related to employee data, learning engagement, and program effectiveness.
- Support engagement, culture, diversity & inclusion, and learning initiatives by assisting in program coordination, communications, and alignment with HR and Talent Development strategies.
- Manage and maintain the Corporate American Express program, including account setup, cancellations, and reporting.
- Coordinate exit processes including exit interviews, termination documentation, and analysis of feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Assist the Sr Director and People Ops teams with HR and Talent Development projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, Employment Law or related field preferred
- 0-2 years HR administrative work experience
- Experience working in an HRIS system to process payroll and data changes
- Experience working with learning management systems preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook); familiarity with creating reports in Excel is preferred
- Takes initiative to address competing priorities timely
- Highly organized individual with close attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to creatively problem solve
- Knowledge of employment laws
- Proven ability to utilize discretion and best judgment when handling confidential information
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve or amend company policies
- Excellent writing and communication skills, especially communicating to large groups
- Friendly, upbeat, energetic, and approachable, with the ability to act with care and extreme discretion, especially regarding disciplinary or pay-related issues.
Pay
$23.00 - $25.00
