Main Responsibilities

  • Serves as the first point of contact for the Office of Human Resources.
  • Greets and welcomes visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries either in-person, by phone, or via the Human Resources office inbox, exercising sound judgement in determining which inquiries can be resolved independently and which require escalation to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Understand basic HR functions and navigation of the Workday system.
  • Aid with filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and document preparation.
  • Maintain office supplies, inventory, and organization of office resources.
  • Understand and interpret HR processes, practices, and policies.
  • Receive, open, and distribute daily mail, packages, and correspondence to appropriate team members.
  • Support the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer and members of the team with various administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Provide administrative support for onboarding of student employees in Workday and processing of student employment records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Aid with setup and support of departmental meetings and events.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Previous experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal, analytical, and office/administrative support skills.
  • Basic project and process management skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional approach and positive attitude.
