About the role
The HR Coordinator supports the daily operations of Human Resources, coordinating payroll activities and key HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including reviewing and auditing timesheets, earnings, and deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Generate, analyze, and validate payroll reports; resolve discrepancies in partnership with Payroll and Finance.
- Update employee data within HRIS (UKG), ensuring accuracy across payroll, status changes, and personal information.
- Coordinate HR workflows across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll and HR-related inquiries, supporting employee relations as needed.
- Manage and distribute employee-related requests, prioritizing based on urgency and ensuring timely follow-up across departments.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination for employee updates, partnering with teams such as IT, Benefits, and Recruitment.
- Monitor and manage the HR inbox, including employment verifications and general inquiries.
- Support internal communications and engagement initiatives, including newsletters, announcements, and employee recognition efforts.
- Assist with reporting and audits, including monthly metrics and year-end payroll activities (W-2s, audits, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and payroll regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or administrative coordination.
- Proficiency with UKG or similar HRIS systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and HR technology platforms.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
Pay
$25/hr to $27/hr
