About the role

The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department and dealership locations, ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, consistently, and timely. This position serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations across multiple dealership locations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Administer new hire onboarding and enter/maintain employee information in the HRIS system.
  • Process employee status changes, terminations, and other personnel transactions.
  • Handle inquiries and supply information to job applicants, employees, and department heads.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and general benefit questions, and process monthly benefit bills.
  • Interpret, assist, and advise employees about benefit administration, leave management, and HR policies.
  • Review internal training levels and advise department heads on progress.
  • Coordinate and assist with new employee/benefit orientation and meetings.
  • Carry out wellness program activities (health screenings, wellness challenges, employee communications, etc.).
  • Assist in worker’s compensation program administration.
  • Review, interpret, analyze, and prepare data, reports, and recommendations for approval.
  • Maintain, control, and secure confidential records (personnel recruitment, organizational changes, employee relations).
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance reviews.
  • Prepare forms, reports, and correspondence; arrange meetings; and process confidential documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in Human Resources.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple requests.
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines, and targets.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
