Pay
This position pays between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive HR support across recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, payroll preparation, HR systems, employee engagement, and employee relations. This role ensures compliance, data accuracy, and exceptional customer service while serving as a trusted resource for employees and management. The coordinator maintains confidential information, promotes company core values, supports engagement initiatives, and manages a wide range of HR programs and processes.
Responsibilities
- Administer the pre-payroll process by reviewing and correcting timekeeping and attendance discrepancies to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Coordinate hourly incentive programs, including attendance, referral, and overtime bonus programs.
- Manage daily attendance tracking, monitor performance-related documentation, and escalate concerns as needed.
- Process employment-related requests, such as employment verifications, wage garnishments, workers' compensation documentation, disability paperwork, and salary verification requests.
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle for direct-hire and agency candidates, including job postings, resume screening, phone interviews, interview coordination, and pre-employment activities.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring all required documentation and system transactions are completed accurately and timely.
- Conduct new hire orientation programs to educate employees on company policies, benefits, culture, and expectations.
- Coordinate leave of absence programs, including FMLA and other applicable leaves, while providing guidance to employees and managers.
- Maintain accurate employee information across HRIS, ERP/timekeeping, benefits, and integrated vendor systems.
- Process employee status changes (new hires, transfers, promotions, separations) and ensure updates are reflected across all systems.
- Perform regular audits of HR, payroll, and benefits data; identify discrepancies and escalate issues to management.
- Conduct monthly system and data audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Audit benefit enrollments, deductions, premiums, and account balances across HRIS and carrier platforms.
- Review monthly benefit invoices, update payroll deductions, and communicate changes to employees and HR leadership.
- Provide technical support and guidance to managers and employees regarding HRIS and benefits administration systems.
- Serve as the primary liaison between employees and benefit vendors, facilitating resolution of benefit-related questions and issues.
- Assist in developing, communicating, and administering employee benefit programs and educational materials.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and special enrollment events, including employee enrollment changes, benefit terminations, payroll deduction updates, and system maintenance.
- Coordinate employee engagement surveys and assist with communication, analysis, and review of survey results.
- Participate in employee engagement committees and activities to promote a positive workplace culture.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service to employees, applicants, visitors, and other stakeholders.
- Reinforce and promote Jtec's Core Values through daily interactions and employee support activities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, company, and HR-related information.
- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Provide administrative and operational support across all HR areas as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Human Resources Manager or management.
Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an office setting.
- Human Resources certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Technology:
- Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
- HRIS software (moderate to advanced user) preferred.
- Experience with timekeeping systems.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Process-driven self-starter with the ability to identify and resolve root causes of problems.
- Knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, compensation, benefits, safety, personnel information systems, and federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze information and resolve issues thoroughly and timely.
- Critical thinking to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Working Conditions
