About the role
As a People Business Partner Lead, you will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted consultant to business leaders, converting business priorities into people strategies that support organizational growth, performance, and transformation. Acting as a bridge between HR expertise and business objectives, you will address complex workforce challenges through data-driven insights, strategic problem-solving, and change leadership. This is a senior-level individual contributor position with significant organizational influence and no direct people management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Employee-Centric
- Promote a high-performance culture by leading initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, performance, and retention throughout the organization.
- Provide strategic guidance on change management initiatives to support successful transitions, maintain employee engagement, and sustain performance during periods of organizational change.
- Coach and advise managers on leadership effectiveness, team development, performance improvement, and people management best practices.
- Manage highly sensitive and complex employee relations matters, including large-scale organizational changes, while ensuring fairness, consistency, and organizational alignment.
- Identify capability gaps and partner with Learning & Development teams to create and deliver programs that enhance employee skills and support professional growth.
- Data & Technology-Led
- Evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs on an ongoing basis and provide data-driven recommendations that improve organizational outcomes.
- Utilize dashboards and workforce analytics to assess key HR metrics such as turnover, diversity, engagement, and performance trends, identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
- Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations that support workforce planning and informed decision-making.
- Analyze workforce and performance data to guide HR initiatives and ensure alignment with business priorities and objectives.
- Functional Excellence
- Act as a senior strategic partner to cross-functional leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals while leading complex initiatives that support organizational transformation.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of scalable HR programs and systems, including compensation structures, performance management frameworks, and employee benefits programs in partnership with Centers of Excellence.
- Work closely with legal counsel to address complex compliance matters, minimize organizational risk, and maintain expertise in employment law and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategic priorities into HR initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and business performance.
- Lead and support change management efforts by facilitating transitions, addressing resistance, and promoting employee adoption and engagement.
- Owner Mindset
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by helping shape workforce strategies that support long-term business objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business functions you support, including strategic priorities, operational challenges, and market dynamics, using that knowledge to anticipate needs and influence decision-making.
- Proactively identify emerging workforce trends and organizational challenges while developing innovative and scalable solutions that support future growth and success.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience within Human Resources, including at least 5 years in a Human Resources Business Partner or People Business Partner role.
- Experience supporting organizations in high-growth, fast-paced environments such as agencies, consulting firms, technology companies, or professional services organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated success aligning HR strategies with long-term business objectives and delivering meaningful, organization-wide results.
- Exceptional communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization, including executive teams.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working effectively within matrixed organizations and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proactive, action-oriented problem solver with a high level of initiative, adaptability, creativity, and resourcefulness.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform recommendations and strategic decisions.
