About the role
Tyler Technologies is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide a full range of human resources services. In this role, you will formulate consultative partnerships across the HR function to strategically consult and deliver value-added service to leadership and team members, reflecting the business objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to identify and develop talent and engagement solutions that reflect and enhance the Tyler culture.
- Collaborate with the business to develop strategies addressing risk and achieving operational objectives, either directly or under the divisional HR leader’s guidance.
- Facilitate leadership and succession planning, including talent reviews, 360-feedback assessments, and development plans.
- Support learning and development programs and partner with the Talent Development team to create and facilitate initiatives for team member growth.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct internal investigations, and provide consultation on complex cases.
- Analyze employment data (e.g., surveys) to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to divisional and business unit leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies in HR operations.
- Consult with leadership on optimal organizational structure and reorganizations.
- Plan and implement effective change management strategies in partnership with divisional leadership.
- Provide guidance on base and variable compensation decisions, pay equity, and administration of the compensation structure, including designing new incentive structures.
- Interpret and guide Tyler Technologies’ policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and international laws, recommending updates as needed.
- Model Tyler’s Mission, Vision, and Values and mentor employees to do the same.
- Administer processes and programs such as Workers’ Compensation, Immigration, Leaves of Absence, Affirmative Action, and Service Awards.
- Handle employee accommodation requests and provide consultation on complex cases requiring creative solutions.
- Collaborate on and lead divisional or Tyler-wide HR projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience.
- Expert knowledge of employee relations, HR management principles, and HR best practices.
- Proven track record of providing business partnership to organizational leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking ability.
- Demonstrated ability to use data analytics effectively in guiding business decisions.
- Expert knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and present to senior leadership.
- Working knowledge of HR functional areas: employee engagement, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, and workforce development.
