Human Resources Business Partner
Primary Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Federal, State, Local Authorities and company policy
Additional Duties
- Provides human resources (HR) consultation to a designated business unit
- Uses working knowledge of the business to provide HR support and guidance
- PARTNERS DIRECTLY WITH BUSINESS LEADERS TO DEFINE AND EXECUTE HR STRATEGIES THAT ALIGN WITH BUSINESS OBJECTIVES AND KEY INITIATIVES
- Analyzes trends and develops strategies to resolve HR issues and make a positive impact on business results
- Leads organizational assessments that convert strategies into result-driven actions
- ACTS AS A LIAISON WITH OTHER HR FUNCTIONS
Qualifications
- BS/BA in human resources, international relations or other business-related field or an equivalent amount of experience and training
- At least 5-7 years of human resource experience
- Fluency in Spanish
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
- Knowledge and working with ADP Workforce Now
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of US, and CA specific employment laws as warranted
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
