Brazos Electric Power Cooperative is seeking an organized, service-focused Human Resources Support Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources Department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, managing details, and keeping important processes on track.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee, retiree, and applicant questions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, HRIS records, and HR documentation.
  • Process employment verifications and assist with HR reporting, audits, performance reviews, and employee events.
  • Coordinate employee training and development logistics.
  • Support recruiting by scheduling interviews, coordinating pre-employment activities, and preparing candidate materials.
  • Assist with new-hire orientation, onboarding paperwork, HRIS entry, employee files, and Form I-9 documentation.
  • Support benefit enrollments, Annual Enrollment, qualifying life events, FMLA administration, and employee benefit communications.
  • Assist with education reimbursements, employee separations, and retirements.
  • Coordinate HR information and documentation with Payroll, Accounting, Safety, IT, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Provide professional, responsive service while appropriately escalating complex or sensitive HR matters.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in a professional support role.
  • Previous exposure to Human Resources functions is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer-service, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally, and to effectively balance changing priorities.

Brazos Electric Cooperative provides transmission and distribution services for 16 Texas electric co-ops whose service territory extends across 68 counties from the Texas Panhandle to Houston.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The company does not sponsor employment visas, including H-1B visas, and does not participate in student visa training extensions or related employer-supported work authorization programs, including F-1 OPT or STEM OPT, due to administrative limitations.
