About the role

The Human Resources Generalist III supports designated geographic regions of the U.S. in a manufacturing environment, focusing on HR-related duties including benefits, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manages HR operations and administers policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Facilitates communication between associates and managers.
  • Administers onboarding, off-boarding, recruitment, leave cases, and employment status changes.
  • Provides expert guidance and training on employment laws, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Resolves employee relations issues and partners with business areas on compensation evaluations, promotions, and restructuring.
  • Maintains accurate HR records and files.
  • Participates in planning and implementation of team and personal goals.
  • Compiles and analyzes data for reports, audits HRIS system compliance, and researches HR industry trends.
  • Performs basic financial and operational administrative duties.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proven employee relations experience required.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (Oracle) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • PREFERRED: PHR or SHRM-CP Certification.

  • Excellent knowledge of employment/labor laws.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and team-oriented.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Benefits

First Solar offers a competitive salary range of $70,200 - $100,000 annually, subject to change at any time.

Schedule

No regular travel is required outside the First Solar work site.

Physical Requirements

All positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting. Associates must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone with or without reasonable accommodation.
