Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
- Telework: Opportunity to work from home part-time, up to 2 days per week. Requires a securely configured high-speed internet connection. Option to report to headquarters office in Harrisburg if unable to telework.
Description of Work
This position provides guidance to the Employee Relations Coordinator and serves as a point of contact for the PGC Employee Relations program to offer guidance and support to employees, supervisors, managers, and Sr. Staff regarding labor relations issues. This work includes consultation, grievance processing, investigation of disciplinary actions, conducting Labor Management meetings, and providing training.
Requirements
- Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Must be a resident of Pennsylvania.
- Must be eligible for selection in accordance with merit system employment regulations.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions.

- This position is not subject to the promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum experience and training required for the job.
- Meritorious service: (a) absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last due overall regular or probationary performance evaluation was higher than unsatisfactory or fails to meet standards.
- Seniority: minimum of one year in the next lower class(es) by the posting closing date with no break in service.
