About the role
The Human Genetics Physician will lead genetic counseling services, conduct genetic testing, and provide clinical care to patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive genetic counseling to patients and families
- Conduct genetic testing and interpret results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Participate in research initiatives related to human genetics
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board certification in Medical Genetics or Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Medical Genetics
- Experience in clinical genetics and genetic counseling
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
Qualifications
- Strong academic credentials
- Passport required for international travel
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Skills
- Proficiency in genetic counseling software
- Knowledge of genetic disorders and their management
