Hub Supervisor

About the Role

To manage and oversee all aspects of daily hub operations, including supervising city delivery dispatcher(s), hub delivery specialists, and any other team members assigned to the hub. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as supervisor responsible for managing and maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service for all city delivery service functions.
• Work with city delivery dispatcher(s) to ensure that all products are properly invoiced to spoke stores.
• Investigate and correct all shipping and inventory discrepancies related to the hub in a timely manner.
• Assist with monthly cycle counts and other inventory control duties as assigned.
• Ensure all hub stockers and related personnel are checking in and putting up stock orders accurately and timely.
• Implement proper shrinkage focus and tools to minimize the store’s exposure to theft and paperwork shortages.
• Oversee all hub delivery routes, ensuring routes are followed, efficiency is maximized, and costs are minimized.
• Ensure safe driving practices and adherence to all policies related to delivery service.
• Manage all expenses related to the hub side of the business to maximize profitability for hub and spoke stores.
• Maintain an organized, clean city delivery area with designated areas/bins for each spoke store.
• Schedule hub employees to ensure adequate coverage while meeting payroll budget.
• Maintain monthly work schedules for all team members, including city delivery dispatcher and hub delivery specialists.
• Ensure all team members are clocking in and out according to company policy.
• Ensure the city delivery dispatcher monitors delivery specialists’ route schedules and communicates delays to remaining stores.
• Work with the store manager to ensure route coverage in the absence of regular city delivery supervisor and/or specialists.
• Collaborate with the store manager and hub delivery specialists to ensure vehicles are well-maintained and quarterly inspections are completed accurately.
• Ensure daily mileage entry into the asset management system.
• Provide input to the store manager regarding city delivery dispatcher and delivery specialists’ performance for evaluations.
• Assist in the hiring process by recruiting, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
• Ensure timely new driver training and completion of ongoing training as required.
• Verify all drivers have passed pre-employment drug tests and have approved MVRs through Risk Management prior to employment.
• Ensure all employees regularly scheduled to drive have an approved MVR on file with Risk Management.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Supervisor and/or manager experience.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
