HTM Clinical Engineer Associate

About the role

Clinical Engineering supports the configuration, testing, and deployment of biomedical and imaging devices. The role involves collaborating with IT and Clinical Engineering teams to ensure these devices are connected, interoperable, and secure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform tasks to configure biomedical and imaging devices.
• Collaborate with IT teammates on project tasks involving network, applications, field services, cybersecurity, and Clinical Engineering operations.
• Manage the installation and testing of new medical devices and systems.
• Document and maintain records of all work performed on medical devices.
• Assist with projects related to medical equipment, devices, instruments, and systems.
• Interact with manufacturer's representatives to obtain technical product information.
• Participate in educational programs to stay updated on medical equipment service and regulatory issues.
• Escalate urgent issues to Clinical Engineering leaders.
• Coordinate application or installation of safety alerts and recalls on medical devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent experience and training.
• 2 years of experience in Clinical Engineering in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Subject matter expert in 1-2 areas of clinical equipment technology.
• Excellent human relations and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage tasks.
• Ability to manage time and resources in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent task coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and partnership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer software packages.
• Ability to perform test and perform basic repairs on a wide array of medical devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent experience and training.
• 3 years of experience in Clinical Engineering in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Subject matter expert in 5-6 areas of clinical equipment technology.
• Excellent human relations and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage tasks.
• Ability to manage time and resources in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent task coordination and problem-solving skills.

Pay

$35.50 - $53.25 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week, with some regional travel required.
