About the role

This position contributes site management ideas or processes to create, promote, and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment. Responsibilities include preventing human injury, environmental degradation, and unsafe working conditions through health, safety, and environmental (HSE) training, programs, and processes. The role ensures a visible and uncompromised commitment to environmental protection and employee productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an intermediate working knowledge of Company-specific HSE standards, programs, and goals by learning and applying HSE procedures on project sites or in offices.
  • Confirm project sites adhere to Company and regulatory HSE standards and guidelines.
  • Promote and foster HSE standards and goals through programs to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Conduct surveys, audits, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of moderate scope incidents to monitor and track HSE standards, programs, and goals, including environmental data collection and documentation.
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
  • Gather industry-wide HSE-related information and data for application to HSE programs and procedures.
  • Occasionally lead the activities of lower-level HSE staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and two years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six years if non-degreed. Some locations may have additional or different qualifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer and software skills, including word processing, email, and intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations.

Pay

Salary range: $67,000.00 - $125,000.00. The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range, with variations based on candidate qualifications, relevant experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Background checks, including education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications, and Global Watchlist screening, are conducted as part of any conditional offer.
