About the role

Contribute site management ideas or processes to create, promote, and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment. Focus areas include prevention of human injury, environmental degradation, and unsafe working conditions/practices through health, safety, and environmental (HSE) training, programs, and processes. Maintain an intermediate scope working knowledge of Company-specific HSE standards, programs, and goals by learning and applying HSE procedures on a project site or in an office.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm project site adheres to Company and regulatory HSE standards and guidelines.
  • Promote and foster HSE standards and goals with programs throughout the Company and/or project to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Conduct surveys, audits, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of moderate scope incidents and activities to monitor and track HSE standards, programs, and goals, including project environmental data collection and documentation.
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
  • Support HSE site programs development, metrics, trending, and data entry.
  • Support HSE reports development and administrative field office activities.
  • Support HSE incident response, investigations, and causal analysis.
  • Gather industry-wide HSE-related information and data for application to HSE programs and procedures.
  • Occasionally lead the activities of lower-level HSE staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and two years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six years if non-degreed. Some locations may have additional or different qualifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must work on-site in Piketon, OH on a full-time basis for the duration of the project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer and software skills, including word processing, email, and intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations.

Pay

Salary range: $67,000.00 - $125,000.00. The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
