About the role

A Safety Manager in Freemont, CA, will lead efforts to build a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions (BBP, HF Acid, HAZCOM, OSHA)
• Conduct safety inspections and investigations
• Safe Work Permitting (LOTO, WAH, etc.)
• Supporting Air Permitting Process
• Addressing actions in the sites compliance calendar
• Chemical safety management

Requirements

• Knowledge of the BAAQMD - Bay Area Air Quality Management District Cal Regulations
• Hazwoper 40 Hour Respirator Fit Test
• Storm Water Experience
• Computer saavy
• Soft Skills (Site needs improved safety culture)

Qualifications

• 8-10 years experience (open to ~5 years if all 5 years were spent in similar industry)

Preferred

• CSP
• MSP
• CHMM
