HSE Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs and implements safety programs, including developing safety methods, procedures, and policies based on company guidelines.
- Makes sure work areas, products, and associate work habits comply with GHSI, OSHA rules, safety and environmental guidelines.
- Makes changes to improve the safety of the workplace when necessary.

- Investigates on-the-job accidents and documents reports and investigations.
- Recruits, hires, and trains new safety associates to assist in audits and other oversight.
- Overall responsibility for the reporting, measuring and improving the GHSI of the facility.
- Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
Education and Experience
Bachelor degree (preferred), but any combination of degree and 2 – 5 years’ experience. Manufacturing experience - Automotive preferred. Coursework and training in occupational safety requirements and OSHA guidelines are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Communicates details of safety procedures clearly to employees. Pays close attention to detail. Demonstrates detailed knowledge of OSHA and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines. Demonstrates strong leadership skills. Exhibits ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety practices. Responds quickly and efficiently to emergencies. Remains calm in high-stress situations. Demonstrates knowledge of the specific tools, machinery, or equipment used in the specific place of work. Exercises caution and alertness at all times. Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
