About the role

The role involves conducting safety and environmental assessments, developing and implementing policies, and providing expertise in accident investigation and review boards.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety and environmental assessments and inspections
• Develops, implements, and communicates Company safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Provides expertise in accident investigation and review boards
• Recommends accident reduction goals and strategies
• Audits the training efforts of District HSE personnel
• Conducts safety training sessions
• Ensures compliance with drug screening policies
• Establishes and maintains communication with various stakeholders
• Assists in identifying and training employees on safety awareness
• Supports regular safety drills
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Understanding of relevant government laws, regulations, and reporting procedures
• Knowledge of safety, training, and environmental concepts, standards, and practices
• Experience in an HSE role or related experience
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• One year experience in an HSE role or related experience
• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Four-year college degree (Preferred)

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of accident investigation and loss control
• Working knowledge of the oil well servicing industry and related equipment, materials, and technology
• Conflict resolution and positive employee engagement skills
• Ability to develop programs and make presentations
• Understanding of basic management concepts
• Ability to understand and speak English proficiently

Skills

• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and under time-sensitive deadlines
• Willingness to work extended schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
