HS SOFTBALL, HEAD

This position is classified as a Virginia High School League (VHSL) activity and, if selected, requires completion of specific training as outlined by VHSL guidelines. VHSL training within one year of their first VHSL coach assignment with PWCS. Must annually complete the PWCS Coaches Essential Bundle, maintain current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid. Every 10 years, must recertify all mandated VHSL and PWCS training and certifications. For more detail, view the Coach Education Requirements on the PWCS internet.

Skills

Knowledge of HS Softball rules and regulations, ability to manage team dynamics, excellent communication skills, and a passion for coaching are required.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field is preferred. Experience coaching at the high school level is highly desirable.
