About the role
The role of Head Start Mentor Coach involves providing direct support and guidance to families in the Head Start program. This includes facilitating family engagement activities, supporting child development, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate family engagement activities and workshops
- Support children’s social-emotional and cognitive development
- Ensure all activities align with Head Start program standards
- Mentor and train new staff members
- Collaborate with families to develop individualized plans for children
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with children ages 0-5
- Valid CPR and first aid certification
- Experience with data management and reporting
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- $35.00 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
