About the role
The Waldinger Corporation builds the infrastructure that keeps communities running. This role is designed for someone with extensive experience in HR technology, payroll systems, or enterprise/ERP platforms, particularly those with hands-on experience in configuring absence management integrations and a strong background in HRIS/platform certifications.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll integration management: Design and validate integrated payroll solutions, ensuring data flows, calculations, compliance controls, and financial alignment are built to scale.
- Absence management configuration: Own the configuration and maintenance of absence management in Workday, ensuring seamless data exchange between Workday and third-party leave, time-tracking, and benefits platforms.
- System optimization & configuration: Lead configuration, testing, and validation for complex payroll and absence scenarios, redesigning workflows to improve reliability, speed, and visibility.
- Senior escalation & issue resolution: Be the last line of defense for complex payroll, absence, and integration issues, diagnosing root causes across systems, protecting compliance, and maintaining continuity.
- Mentorship & technical leadership: Grow analysts and technical teammates, establishing design patterns, documentation standards, and governance that outlast any single project.
- Continuous improvement: Spot opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve financial alignment, and introduce emerging technology that brings real organizational value.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years in HR technology, payroll systems, or enterprise/ERP platforms, including hands-on experience configuring absence management integrations.
- Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or a related field — preferred.
- CPP, Workday Pro Payroll, Workday Absence, or equivalent HRIS/platform certification — preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and Absence modules, including third-party integration configuration — a strong differentiator.
Qualifications
- Preferred certifications: CPP, Workday Pro Payroll, Workday Absence.

- Strong understanding of HRIS/platforms like Workday.
- Experience with payroll and absence management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to mentor and lead technical teams.
- Proficiency in configuration, testing, and validation of complex systems.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
