HRIS Analyst II - Workday
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. Must not repeat job title. Must not include Job ID as heading. Must remove boilerplate, EEO, legal, scam warnings, application instructions, etc. Must preserve all substantive info.
We need to parse the posting.
Key sections:
- Mission statement intro: "The mission of The New York Times is to seek the truth and help people understand the world..." This is generic but could be considered part of About the role? Actually it's company mission. Might be considered part of About the role? The instruction: "About The Role, Mission Or Department Overview". So we can include a section About the role (or About the role, Mission Or Department Overview). Use About the role
and include the mission paragraph and the description of role.
- Responsibilities: list many bullet points. Use - .
- Basic Qualifications: list bullet points. Could be under Requirements or Qualifications. The instruction says we can have sections Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We need to decide where to put qualifications. Probably "Requirements" for basic qualifications, "Preferred Qualifications" for preferred, "Skills" for technical skills like Excel, etc. But we must not create thin sections. We can combine.
We have:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an HRIS Analyst role or comparable HR systems position.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Workday.
- Professional experience in HR, Payroll, and Benefits operations.
- Experience with Workday report writing and generation.
- Background in maintaining Workday business processes, security protocols, system releases, notifications, and automated mass operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, modeling.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, collaboration.
- Experience conveying complex technical concepts and data findings into clear, accessible recommendations for non-technical partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience managing Workday benefits, Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules.
- Familiarity with additional Workday modules and teams, such as Security, Integrations, and Prism Analytics.
- Experience with benefits management and Annual Enrollment.
Additional Compensation And Benefits:
- variable pay (annual bonus, restricted stock)
- Benefits may include medical, dental and vision benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts (F.S.A.s), a company-matching 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase plan, paid vacation, paid sick days, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and professional development programs.
- For roles outside US, info provided during interview.
- The annual base pay range for this role is between: $75,000 - $95,000 USD
Schedule: "This is a hybrid role based in our Norfolk, VA office. You can typically expect to come into the office 2+ days/week."
Thus we have Pay (base pay range) and Benefits (variable pay, benefits list). Schedule (hybrid, 2+ days/week). Also location maybe part of About the role.
We must not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have actual numbers.
We must not include boilerplate like EEO, scam warnings, GenAI tools, etc. Remove those.
We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers as heading; we can fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. The REQ-020611 appears under Preferred Qualifications? Actually after Preferred Qualifications line: "REQ-020611 Additional Compensation And Benefits". So we can drop that or include as a short paragraph maybe not needed. Better to drop.
We must output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences.
Thus produce something like:

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Workday.
- Professional experience in HR, Payroll, and Benefits operations.
- Experience with Workday report writing and generation.
- Background in maintaining Workday business processes, security protocols, system releases, notifications, and automated mass operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, modeling.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, collaboration.
- Experience conveying complex technical concepts and data findings into clear, accessible recommendations for non-technical partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing Workday benefits, Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules.
- Familiarity with additional Workday modules and teams, such as Security, Integrations, and Prism Analytics.
- Experience with benefits management and Annual Enrollment.
Skills
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, modeling; strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities; collaboration; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical partners.
But we already included Excel in Requirements; maybe we can move Excel to Skills. However we must not duplicate content? The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. Duplication is okay if it's present in original? It appears in Basic Qualifications and also could be considered skill. But we could keep it only once. Let's keep Excel under Requirements (as it's a qualification). Then Skills could be something else like "strong problem‑solving, analytical, collaboration; ability to convey technical concepts". But those are also in Requirements. Might be redundant. Perhaps better to have only Requirements and Preferred Qualifications, and then Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Skills section may be thin if we just repeat. Could omit Skills if not enough distinct content. The instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we can omit Skills if it's not adding new info.
Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements (basic qualifications), Preferred Qualifications, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
Check each for real content.
About the role: we have mission paragraph and role description. Good.
Responsibilities: list.
Requirements: basic qualifications list.
Preferred Qualifications: list.
Benefits: variable pay and benefits list.
Pay: base pay range.
Schedule: hybrid, 2+ days/week.
We must not include headings for sections that have no content. All have.
Now ensure we removed boilerplate: no EEO, no GenAI, no scam warnings, no privacy, no accommodation, no EEOC, no application instructions, no "Candidate Use Of GenAI Tools", no "We’re excited to learn more about you". Also remove "Additional Compensation And Benefits" heading? We'll use Benefits heading.
We need to include the variable pay info: "dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock." That's part of Benefits.
Also benefits list: medical, dental and vision benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts (F.S.A.s), a company-matching 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase plan, paid vacation, paid sick days, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and professional development programs.
We should keep that.
Pay: "The annual base pay range for this role is between: $75,000 - $95,000 USD"
Schedule: "This is a hybrid role based in our Norfolk, VA office. You can typically expect to come into the office 2+ days/week." Already included in About the role but we can also put in Schedule. However we might duplicate. The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; duplication is okay if it's in original. But we might want to avoid duplication. However the schedule info appears only once in the original: under About The Role, Mission Or Department Overview: "This is a hybrid role based in our Norfolk, VA office. You can typically expect to come into the office 2+ days/week." So we could place that in About the role and not have a separate Schedule section. But the instruction says include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it. It does have schedule content; we could either put it under About the role or Schedule. Since we already have About the role containing mission and role description, we could add schedule there. But we also need a Schedule section if we want to follow the heading list. However we can choose to not create a Schedule section if we feel it's covered elsewhere. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we could omit Schedule section and keep the schedule info in About the role. That would reduce sections. However the instruction also says: "Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities,
