About the role
Horsham Center for Jewish Life is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented HR/Staffing Assistant to join our team. The HR/Staffing Assistant will provide administrative and procedural support to the Human Resources Generalist, Human Capital Specialist, and Staffing Coordinator. This position will assist with a variety of daily HR, staffing, employee, and administrative tasks and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their experience in Human Resources and healthcare administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Generalist, Human Capital Specialist, and Staffing Coordinator.
- Assist with various HR and staffing-related administrative and procedural tasks.
- Assist with employee onboarding and new-hire paperwork.
- Help maintain accurate employee files, records, and documentation.
- Assist with tracking employee certifications, licenses, and other required documentation.
- Provide administrative assistance with staffing schedules and related documentation under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Assist with employee communications and general HR inquiries.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain HR and staffing reports and records.
- Assist with filing, data entry, scanning, copying, and other general administrative duties.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information.
- Provide additional administrative support to the HR and Staffing teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Human Resources and/or Staffing preferred.
- Previous administrative or office experience preferred.
- Healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
