Schedule
- Hybrid – in-office 2 days per week (Monday and Friday), with flexibility as needed for events or other exceptions
- Attendance in person at community and college job fairs
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with department managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for specified vacant positions
- Creates job postings and advertisements on multiple platforms to source viable candidates
- Stays current with all YFT-sponsored events and requests, and distributes recruitment materials
- Aggressively searches databases, social media, and other platforms daily to identify candidates for vacant positions
- Conducts phone screens, selects qualified candidates for interviews, and connects them with hiring managers
- Follows up with hiring managers after interviews to determine placement feasibility and collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful
- Checks candidates’ references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds
- Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process
- Presents offers of employment contingent on background check results, credentialing, and other pre-hire requirements
- Assists with collection of background check documents via in-person appointment twice weekly in HR
- Follows candidates through the background check process, ensuring completion and providing support for timely hiring
- Scans all pre-hire documents to the candidate’s electronic record
- Completes pre-hire checklist to ensure compliance prior to hire
- Collaborates with HR personnel to meet hiring and training requirements for the HSPRS program prior to hire and pre-service
- Communicates to candidates and hiring managers when they are eligible to attend orientation
- Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
- Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand in particular fields
- Maintains compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations
- Tracks required immunization records to completion
- Prepares and sends communications to employees regarding required immunizations such as annual TB screening, vaccination boosters, and annual flu shots
- Assists in continuous follow-up of all required/missing information for new and active staff personnel records, including maintenance of background files, medical files, and electronic records in compliance with DSS, DBHDS, ORR, VAISEF, and other regulatory bodies
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee inquiries and referrals while representing YFT and Human Resources positively
- Assists in process and procedure development and maintenance, providing suggestions and recommendations to the HR Team
- Assists with program or licensing audits as requested
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field highly preferred
- Minimum of two years of full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition experience
- Proven sourcing experience and techniques to attract passive candidates
- Minimum of two years of human resources or related experience highly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred; SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus
- VA Notary Public preferred
- Ability to work on campus in Bristow, VA (HQ) a minimum of 2 days per week once trained
